Molecular Devices manufactures a tunable reader and filter-based readers that are certified for HTRF®

  • The fully tunable FlexStation® 3 benchtop reader with integrated fluid transfer
  • The fully tunable SpectraMax® M5e dual-monochromator multimode reader
  • The filter-based Analyst® multimode reader series for HTS

The FlexStation 3 and SpectraMax M5e utilize Molecular Devices' industry benchmark SoftMax® Pro software. It is available for both Mac OS X and Windows XP. In addition to operation of the readers, SoftMax Pro facilitates complex data analysis with ease. Molecular Devices has written default HTRF® protocol files and can assist in customizing these protocols to meet user needs. SoftMax Pro v5.1 ships with over 120+ default protocols encompassing a wide range of assays and disciplines. Molecular Devices also offers a variety of GxP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance tools for the FlexStation 3 and SpectraMax M5e.


 
FlexStation 3:

  • Patented PathCheck® pathlength correction technology and well volume sensing
  • Temperature control (2°C above ambient to 60°C)
  • Integrates to a wide variety of stacker and robotic systems
  • Plate formats supported: 6 to 384 well microplates
 

All Analyst AD, HT and GT multimode readers must be equipped for HTRF® readout by installing one of the two HTRF® filter sets available from Molecular Devices (see references in instrument setup forms). The setup of Analyst systems is very straightforward with their Analyst Host software. Instrument specific setup protocols are located below.

Analyst GT :
  • Standard 25mm filters for HTRF®, TRF, FI, FP and absorbance. Separate PMT for Luminescence.

  • HTS compatible, high-speed bidirectional stacker option

Analyst HT :

  • Three axis positioning (Z-focusing)
  • HTS compatible, integrated stacker option
  • Plate formats supported: 96 to 384 well microplates
 
HTRF® filter sets:
  • Includes all optical parts and instructions for the upgrade of Analyst's former versions for HTRF® readout
  • An HTRF reader control kit is available from Cisbio Bioassays for upgrade validation
