Development of custom assays and HTS projects often require labeling of specific assay components. Cisbio Bioassays offers services for the labeling of proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides or other biomolecules with HTRF fluorophores such as Cryptate, XL665 or d2. We also provide labeling services for biotin or DNP conjugation. Two options, test and batch labeling, are available for all types of conjugations to enable increased service flexibility and maximum productivity. Labeling Process:

 

Samples to be labeled can be provided by the customer or ordered directly by Cisbio Bioassays from a specified vendor. Consultation with our staff is provided to develop a labeling approach if your samples have unique properties. During the labeling process, our scientists are continuously monitoring sample integrity to ensure quality labeling. Following labeling the final sample concentration is determined and the FMR calculated.

 

Available Labeling Services:

 

Test Labeling:

This service is ideal for researchers who have a highly valued sample, want to assess labeling feasibility and efficiency or are looking to label a small quantity of sample for use in their assay development processes. A small size labeling is performed by our staff which generally produces enough material for customers to perform at least 1,000 assay wells. This service also allows researchers to assess the functional performance of the labeled biomolecule in their assay at a lower cost prior to scaling up to batch labeling. The chemistry and processes used during test labeling are identical to batch labeling enabling streamlined migration to labeling of milligram size quantities.

Batch Labeling:
This service provides for custom labeling of large milligram quantities of biomolecules.

Note: Cryptate custom-labeled products are calibrated using RUBYstar (BMG-Labtech), and are supplied on the basis of 20 µl well using a 384-well low volume plate. XL665 or d2 , biotin and DNP custom labeling products are supplied by the milligram (and by OD for oligonucleotide labeling).
