VPAC1 receptor ligand binding assay
This receptor binds a vasoactive intestinal peptide, a small neuropeptide. Vasoactive intestinal peptide is involved in smooth muscle relaxation, exocrine and endocrine secretion, and water and ion flux in lung and intestinal epithelia.
Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide VPAC1 binding assay starter pack
| Products | Product reference | Product insert | MSDS |
| Tag-lite VPAC1 receptor red agonist - 5,000 tests | L0004RED | ||
| Tag-lite VPAC1 - 1 Million labeled cells | C1TT1VPAC1 | - | |
| Tag-lite SNAP-Lumi4Tb - 2 nmoles | SSNPTBC | - |
The binding assay starter pack consists of three references, the labeled cells, the fluorescent ligand and the Tag-lite buffer. Each component must be ordered separately. The cells express the SNAP-receptor labeled with terbium cryptate (labeling performed with Tag-lite SNAP-Lumi4 Tb). The labeled cells are proposed in a 1 million cell pack, to achieve a minimum of 200 tests at a cell density of 5,000 cells/well.
- This VPAC1 selective agonist is labelled with a Red emitting HTRF fluorescent probe.
- This ligand has been successfully used in a VPAC1 receptor Tag-lite binding assay.
- Concentration: 10µM
- Buffer: H2O
- Molecular Weight: 4771
Assay validation
VPAC1 receptor ligand binding assay was performed using the starter pack reagents.
Kd was determined and signal inhibition (IC50) by agonist and antagonist was performed with L0004RED (Tag-lite VPAC1 receptor red agonist) 6.25 nM.
| Family | Receptor | Compounds | Radioactivity( Ki nM) | Tag-lite (Ki nM) |
