AT1 receptor ligand binding assay
Angiotensin II is a potent vasopressor hormone and a primary regulator of aldosterone secretion. It is an important effector controlling blood pressure and volume in the cardiovascular system. It acts through at least two types of receptors. The type 1 receptor is thought to mediate the major cardiovascular effects of angiotensin II. This receptor may play a role in the generation of reperfusion arrhythmias following restoration of blood flow to ischemic or infarcted myocardium.
Although angiotensin II has been viewed as a blood-borne hormone produced in the circulation, it is also formed in many tissues such as the brain, kidney, heart, and blood vessels, where angiotensin II functions as a paracrine and autocrine hormone.
Angiotensin AT1 binding assay starter pack
| Products | Product reference | Product insert | MSDS |
| Tag-lite Angiotensin receptors red agonist - 5,000 tests | L0007RED | ||
| Tag-lite Angiotensin AT1 (1 Million labeled cells) | C1TT1AT1 | - | |
| Tag-lite buffer - 100 ml (5X) | LABMED | - | - |
The binding assay starter pack consists of three references, the labeled cells, the fluorescent ligand and the Tag-lite buffer. Each component must be ordered separately. The cells express the SNAP-receptor labeled with terbium cryptate (labeling performed with Tag-lite SNAP-Lumi4 Tb). The labeled cells are proposed in a 1 million cell pack, to achieve a minimum of 100 tests at a cell density of 10,000 cells/well.
- This agonist is an angiotensine II derivative labeled with a red emitting HTRF fluorescent probe
- This ligand has been successfully used in an AT1 Tag-lite binding assay
- Concentration: 10µM
- Buffer: H2O + 10% MeCN
- Molecular Weight: 1670
Assay Validation:
