Biology Reagents & Technology
In 2004 Upstate (part of Millipore) incorporated the HTRF® PI-3 kinase assay in their PIProfiler™ testing services. Our partnership was recently strengthened through the co-development of the HTRF® KinEASE™ product line, a universal assay platform for serine/threonine kinases which is exclusively distributed by Cisbio Bioassays.
www.millipore.comCisbio Bioassays and Cell Signaling Technology, a market leader in the development and commercialization of phospho-specific antibodies for kinase and pathway analysis, have been partners for many years. This collaboration was integral to the development of Cisbio Bioassays's Kinase toolbox which was originally launched in 2004. We currently offer 19 Europium-labeled CST antibodies used for high quality screening of serine/threonine kinases and anticipate this product line will continue to expand.
In 2004, Cisbio Bioassays and Covalys entered into a collaboration aimed at combining the use of HTRF® Eu3+ cryptates and Covalys' proprietary SNAP-tag™ protein labeling technology. As a result the SNAP-vitro HTRF labeling system was launched in February 2005, and is exclusively commercialized by Covalys and its affiliates.
In 2007, Cisbio Bioassays and Lumiphore, a biotechnology company developing proprietary lanthanide technology for use in high-value assays, have formed a partnership to incorporate Lumiphore's Lumi4™-terbium complexes into Cisbio's HTRF assays. Lumi4™-terbium is currently available in a number of assays such as IP-One Tb, for custom labeling, and for assay development packages.
Microplate Detection Systems
Cisbio Bioassays and BMG LABTECH began collaborating in 1999. The RUBYstar, a laser-based HTRF® dedicated microplate reader was launched as a result and continues to be the HTRF reference reader. Since that time Cisbio Bioassays has worked with BMG to integrate HTRF compatibility on the PHERAstar, BMG's HTRF compatible multimode reader.
Our collaboration with Tecan started in 2003. It rapidly lead to the certification of a series of microplate detection instruments (Ultra Evolution™, GENios Pro™) as well as upgrades for existing instrumentation. In January 2006, Tecan achieved the HTRF® validation of its monochromator-based multimode reader Safire2™.
Cisbio Bioassays began working with Molecular Devices began in 2003. This produced upgrades of their microplate detection instruments, the Analyst® AD and HT, to become HTRF® compatible. Analyst GT was further certified in 2004. In April 2006, Molecular Devices released SpectraMax® M5e, the HTRF® compatible version of its monochromator-based multimode plate reader.
Our close collaboration with FURUNO ELECTRIC., LTD. and KYORITSU RADIO CO., LTD. made it possible for them to launch the ARTEMIS 101, an HTRF® dedicated microplate reader in March of 2006. The ARTEMIS 101 stand alone instrument provides cost effective, superior HTRF® detection enabling researchers in any lab to use Cisbio Bioassays's patented HTRF® technology.
Cisbio Bioassays initiated its collaboration with BioTek in 2005 with the aim of supporting the development of an HTRF® detection module for its microplate reader products. This project lead early 2007 to the launch of Synergy™ 2, Biotek's multimode reader designed for the life science research and the drug discovery markets.
